Terms of Service

Effective date: September 4, 2026 · Applies to animusinfra.com and any Animus Engine evaluation access requested through it.

This page governs use of this website and of any Software provided for institutional evaluation as described below. It is a summary of terms for site visitors and evaluation requesters — it does not replace, and is superseded by, any signed Pilot Evaluation & Commercial License Agreement or production order form executed between Animus Infra and a Customer, which controls for that engagement.

1. Institutional Evaluation License Only

Any access to the Animus Engine software, benchmark binaries, SDK, or associated materials ("Software") granted through a benchmark-access request on this site is provided solely as a non-production, institutional evaluation license — for internal technical evaluation by a qualified quantitative trading desk, fintech infrastructure team, or similar institutional counterparty, and for no other purpose.

Evaluation access is not a production license and may not be used to process live orders, route live execution traffic, or otherwise support a revenue-generating or customer-facing system.
Evaluation access is time-limited, revocable, and (where a hardware-locked License File is issued) bound to a single fingerprinted machine, as described in the Pilot Evaluation & Commercial License Agreement issued alongside it.
Production use requires a separate, executed commercial license (Production Node License or Custom Source License) under a written order form. No production right is created by this Terms of Service page or by the act of submitting a benchmark-access request.
Reverse engineering, redistribution, resale, or sublicensing of the Software is prohibited, consistent with the Restrictions section of the governing license agreement.

2. Zero Liability for Trading & Execution Outcomes

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Animus Infra bears zero financial liability, of any kind, for any trading or execution outcome arising from use of the Software — whether during an evaluation, a benchmark, a proof-of-concept, or any other non-production engagement. This includes, without limitation: slippage, missed or delayed fills, rejected or duplicated orders, incorrect order routing, mismatched position or P&L state, market data staleness or loss, or any other execution-path error or omission, however caused, including by a defect in the Software itself.

This is a stricter, absolute exclusion specific to trading and execution outcomes, layered on top of — not a replacement for — the general warranty disclaimer and capped limitation of liability set out in the Pilot Evaluation & Commercial License Agreement governing any executed engagement. Nothing in this Section 2 is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded in the applicable jurisdiction (for example, liability for fraud or willful misconduct).

The Software is benchmarking and telemetry infrastructure. It is not investment advice, a broker-dealer service, an order-management or execution-management system of record, or a substitute for a counterparty's own risk controls, and no benchmark figure published on this site (latency, throughput, or otherwise) is a guarantee of performance on any customer's hardware, network, or workload.

3. No Sale of Telemetry or Personal Data

Animus Infra does not sell, rent, or trade telemetry data, benchmark data, or personal data submitted through this site or processed by the Software, to any third party, for any purpose, at any time. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what is collected, why, and who (if anyone) it is shared with.

4. Intellectual Property

This site and the Software are the property of Animus Infra (or its licensors) and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. No rights are granted to you by browsing this site or submitting a benchmark-access request other than the limited evaluation license described in Section 1, once actually issued.

5. Site Disclaimer & Availability

This site and the benchmark figures, code samples, and documentation published on it are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, and may be changed or taken down at any time without notice. Submitting the benchmark-access form does not guarantee access will be granted.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [VENUE], except where a separately executed license agreement specifies otherwise for that engagement.

7. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time; the effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting an active evaluation or commercial engagement will be communicated directly rather than through this page alone.
